This is a pic of Heidi (formerly Naughty) playing in the 2010 snow.
Dear Melanie, Well, I've thought a thousand times about sending you a quick email, but it's been
CRAZY busy with three days of a joint meet (20 extra horses & 25 extra hounds to clean up after) plus my regular stuff.
Naughty a.k.a Heidi is a breath of fresh air! Not to say she isn't a handful (I think Naughty was a good name for her,
but not in a bad way) because she is very "fresh" and animated, but she is a great puppy! She goes with me
everywhere, but as full of puppy as she is, when we get in the truck she lays down on her blanket and you don't hear a peep
out of her until you get her out. She's been out hunting hounds with me after the hunts, she's been shuffled here and
there with cleaning stalls and collaring hounds (I have an exercise pen for her), she must be on her way to stardom because
she's had more pictures taken of her than I can count (not just by me, either)...it goes on and on! I put a mattress
on the floor and I sleep there (so she doesn't fall off the bed) and she sleeps right next to it (on the cool wood floor)
and whines when she needs to go out or if she needs water. She does a great job with going out to go potty, but she's
had the occasional mishap -- she's only 7 weeks old, though! She's been bathed, blown dry, she loves to lay on her back
and have her belly rubbed...she's added a lot of responsibility, but she's also made me slow down a bit and remember that
first place in a rat race is not necessarily a trophy you want to win! I want to thank you, again, for being so great
to work with...and just wanted you to know that Heidi is not only a beautiful puppy, but a wonderful addition to our family
and I believe she will grow into a wonderful dog....she's making a great start! Will keep you posted! I am sending
you two recent pictures...she is truly beautiful!

We made it home safely and he
slept almost the entire way home...We named him diesel and hes already coming when we call him, we thank you for teaching
him NOT to climb over ledges because he will not walk out or door when one of us leave. He's still getting used to the pee-pee
pads, but he normally misses it... we thank you for everything hes amazing, hes already spoiled rotten! :) hope all the other
puppies are doing well, Heres some pictures for you!
